About Healing

Since its founding over 125 years ago, over 80,000 healings in Christian Science have been verified and published in The Christian Science Journal, Christian Science Sentinel, and the Herald of Christian Science. In our Reading Room you can find copies of the Christian Science Journal and the Christian Science Sentinel. Christian Science practitioners dedicate their lives to Christian healing, providing spiritual help that results in healing of all types of difficulties—physical, emotional, relationship, financial (see our Frequently Asked Questions Page for details and resources). On Wednesdays our church holds a meeting where individuals share proof of God’s care in all aspects of their lives; from simply having a harmonious, joy filled day to overcoming severe challenges. Join us at one of our services. You can also learn more at the How Can I Be Healed webpage.

If God is divine Love and has infinite wisdom, how could He cause sin or sickness? If God is all powerful and ever present, is there anything He can’t address?

Through prayer, we can learn more of God’s nature and ability to touch and heal our lives and the world. Jesus’ life and works showed how God helps us through prayer, and Mary Baker Eddy explains that how this works is similar to the way light dissolves darkness.

Studies show increasing numbers of people think prayer and health are related. Many Christian Scientists have found that prayer results in healing because of everyone’s connection with God.

If you would like to talk about this idea or have someone pray with you for more light, health, and inspiration, Christian Science practitioners and teachers are available to help.

Through prayer, we can learn more of God’s nature and ability.

Thoughts unspoken are not unknown to the divine Mind. Desire is prayer; and no loss can occur from trusting God with our desires, that they may be molded and exalted before they take form in words and in deeds
